One of the most popular treks near Dehradun, Nag Tibba (‘Serpent’s Peak’) standing tall at 3015m. is an ideal weekend trek suited for most people looking for a refresher from the boring routine. Nag Tibba Trek can be done throughout the winter season when most of the treks in higher Himalayan ranges are closed. Nag Tibba from Delhi is only 3 days hike which makes it a perfect winter hike nearby. Given its easy level of challenge, anyone with a normal fitness can do this trek. You will get a glimpse of the famous Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Srikanth, Black peak and many more peaks from Nag Tibba. The Nag Tibba range offers some of the best camping locations. The route goes through thick deodar forest and with only a day into the trek, one reaches to a very remote region with almost no habitation. A great refresher and trailer for new trekkers who are yet to see the full movie of a long trek. The total Nag Tibba trek distance is 19 km. The best months to do Nag Tibba Trek for snow are December to March as the trails are completely snow-laden during these months. On Naag Tibba, the temperature at times goes as low as -7 degrees. Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Pantwari (1420m) & Trek to Nag Mandir Campsite (5.5 kms) (2330m)
Reporting time at Dehradun bus stand is 07:00 AM. We will drive to Pantwari from there. We will reach Pantwari at 10 AM (Approx). Nag Tibba Trek starts from here. Freshening up & breakfast will be in a hotel on the way to Pantwari. From Pantwari start trekking to the base of Nag Tibba summit with packed lunch. The trek is uphill & will take 4 to 5 Hrs. We will stop en route for lunch. After reaching the base by the late afternoon we will set up camps. Explore the surrounding area, take pictures, and have loads of fun. Be ready for the cold night, as the temperature could get negative.
Day 2: Nag Mandir – Nag Tibba Summit (3015m) & Return to Nag Mandir (5 kms) (2330m)
Wake up to the sound of chirping birds. Enjoy the morning views of first light falling on the high mountain peaks all around. After Breakfast head for Nag Tibba Summit with packed lunch. From Naag Tibba enjoy the views of the snow clad mountain ranges of Garhwal and Himachal. You will get to see the famous Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Srikanth, Black peak and many more peaks from here. Spend some time enjoying the view. We have our packed lunch here. After lunch, we head back to Nag Mandir by the same route.
Day 3: Nag Mandir to Pantwari (5.5 kms). Depart from Pantwari. (1420m)
We wake up early in the morning. After warm-up & breakfast, we head back on the trail leading to Pantwari. The trail is mostly downhill with only a few sections of uphill. We are expected to arrive in Pantwari by 2-3 PM calling an end to the Nag Tibba winter trek. From here we board the vehicle for Dehradun. We are expected to arrive in Dehradun by 9 PM. If you are booking your Dehradun- Delhi transport on the same night, you are advised to book it around 11 PM.
By Air:-
Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 25 km from the city. There is a daily flight from Delhi to Dehradun
By Train:-
Take the overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi
• Nandadevi Express – Train no: 12205 (Departure 11:50pm; Arrival – 5:40am)
• Dehradun Express – Train no: 12687 (Departure – 9:10pm; Arrival – 5:00am)
By Bus:-
There is regular bus service from Delhi to Dehradun, from Delhis ISBT Kashmere Gate.
We would suggest you to take only government buses from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Private buses ply from outside ISBT and they are not trust worthiness.
Usually buses drop you at Dehradun ISBT. From there you have to come to Dehradun Railway Station
• TTH’s Tata Sumo or similar vehicles will pick-up you from Dehradun Railway Station at 6:30am.

1- Cancellations up to 21 days prior to departure date – 70% refund
2- Between 21 days to 14 days prior to departure – 50% refund
3- Between 14 days to 10 days prior to departure- 30% refund
4- Less than 10 days of departure – No refund or you can transfer your trek (same batch date & same trek) to your dear one.

a) Change of trek batch date is dependent on the availability of seats in the batch.
b) In case of transferring a trek to your dear one, he/she should satisfy all the mandatory requirements lay down by Trekkaro.

SHORT ITINERARY
- Day 1 : Dehradun to Pantwari village and trek to Camp 1
- Pantwari village (1414m.), Camp 1 (2325m.)
- Dehradun to Pantwari village drive 5-6 hrs, 85 Km
- Via Mussoorie, Kampty Fall
- Pickup at 6:30 am, reach Pantwari village by 12:00 noon
- Last ATM at Mussoori
- Whole trek has phone network but erratic
- Lunch at Pantwari village
- Start trek by 2:30 pm, reach camp site by 5:30 pm
- 2 – 3 water points on the way
- Pantwari to Camp 4 Km
- Stay in tent
- Day 2 : Camp 1 to Nag Tibba top and return to Pantwari Village and drive to Dehradun
- Altitude 3015m.
- Camp 1 to Nag Tibba top 4 Km, 3 hrs
- Start trek at 5:00 am (early breakfast)
- No water point on the way
- Stay on top for half an hour
- Lunch at camp 1 by 12 noon
- Reach Pantwari village by 3:00 pm
- Drive to Dehradun reach by 8:30 pm
Note:- Due to of heavy traffic at Mussoori, the arrival time to Dehradun may get delayed so please make any further travel plan after 10:00 pm from Dehradun.

ATM POINT AND MOBILE CONNECTIVITY
Before starting the journey to Nag Tibba trek, make sure that you need payments, and then take out the cash on the way Rajpur Road, (If you want to withdraw money then do it in Dehradun.)
